TeA CeReMony

Today is the Big Day for Kelvin & Myself, finally we are holding our customery dinner. We were registered on 11th Dec 2002 & purchase our 5Rm flat at Choa Chu Kang on Jul 2003.

Last nite Kelvin & I did the 'combing of hair session' between 0000hrs-0200hrs at our own parents' place. My Make-up Artist(MUA) Irene arrived at 0700hrs to make me look gorgeous while waiting for my Prince Charming to come. Kelvin left his parents' house at 0800hrs to fetch me at my uncle's house to my in-law's place for the Tea Ceremony.

Kelvin had reached my uncle's place carpark with his 'Song Di.' He's coming up soon but my 'Jie Mei' will be at the door to stop him from entering. Kelvin had to finish up the 4 items prepared by my 'Jie Mei.'

1st & foremost, is a sour drink. I think they mixed with pure lemon & lime.

2ndly, is a sweet drink. Lots of sugar & condensed milk. 3rdly, a bitter drink.

Lastly, a spicy food. Small slice of bread sandwiched with chilli padi & wasabi topped with a "Ma La" plum. All these 4 items made up "Suan Tian Ku La" in Mandarin. My 'Jie Mei' wished that Kelvin will be there for me to share all my happiness & worries.

After having to finish all the four items, my 'Jie Mei' prepared Kelvin's favourite coffee. But he have to finish it in a milk bottle. Then he was tested with a few questions like, What's my Primary School, my mum's lunar birthdate & my brother's chinese name etc. Finally, he get the questions right & was allowed to enter the house. But he was been stopped at the door to the room cos my 'Jie Mei' asked him to say "Jenny, Wo Ai Ni" loudly.

Finally, I get to see my Prince Charming. Of course, not forgetting to plant a LONG KISS on me. See how happy was I, nope the better word will be OVERJOYED!

The Tea Ceremony at Kelvin's place is over. We are now heading to our Love Nest at Choa Chu Kang. We are going to change before going to my uncle's place for the Tea Ceremony.

I had changed into 'Kua' & Kelvin into another suit. We are going to my uncle's place for the Tea Ceremony.

Kelvin & I are praying/offering to Gods & ancesstors before offering tea to my family. A big suckling pig from Kelvin. According to chinese tradition, Groom's family will offer the suckling pig & Bride's family will chop the centre part, returning the head & tail to the Groom's family.

We are back to my in-law's place with the portion of suckling pig. Finally, the morning event is over. We are heading to Orchid Country Club to prepare for the nite event which is the wedding dinner of the day. Make-up Artist(MUA) Irene is meeting us at 1700hrs to make Kelvin look charming & I gorgeous for the dinner.

OuR WeDdinG DinNer

Orchid Country Club Grand Ballroom is where we held our wedding dinner. We decided on this place cos of a few factors. 1stly it can accomodate up to 120 tbls. We wanted a big ballroom where our guests can sit comfortably even if we were to have 51 tables of guests includes 2 tbls of Muslim. 2ndly wanted to have something different for this once & only event of our life, march-in in a buggy. Last but not least the food is delicious & service is good. One waiter/waitress serve 2 tables each.

The Chinese dinner menu for the nite. The gift to the guest is teddy bears in wedding gown & suit. Cute huh..

Finally, all guests are sitted. We are preparing ourselves for the 1st March-in. The 1st March-in song is sung by Andy Lau. As mentioned, we wanted a different wedding therefore, we decided to use a mandarin song instead.

Oh...so nervous yet so happy & loved by everyone's blessing. Walking down the red carpet aisle with my Prince Charming, Kelvin whom I married to & going to start a new phase of life with.

The cake-cutting ceremony. Have a nice gown with a long tail huh... cheeze...

Finally, get to sit down & dinner will be served shortly. The 1st course presentation lead by Captain Raj & the song we chosen was a techno hit. Another different item compared with the common presentation.

These are the 2 VIPs tables of the nite. Red tablecloth, red napkins, ivory seat cover with maroon sash. One is Kelvin's family & the other is mine.

2nd March-in in a wedding buggy drive by Captain Raj. The March-in song was "You're my Inspiration." Nice night gown? All of my wedding dress & gowns are chosen by Kelvin. Especially this night gown which he loves it vey much. Of course, me too.

Champagne pouring down the champagne fountain was not an easy job but both of us are still smiling cos we are overjoyed!

Ooh....Love toast. Oops...such a high cut at my night gown..no peeping huh..hehe...

'Yum Seng' & toast to everyone who is here to give us your blessing with our family on stage. Kelvin's brothers can really shout for the 'Yum Seng.'

After the photo taking with relatives & frens, we still have time before the dinner is over. Therefore, we went to our frens table to thanks them for the help they have rendered on Today to make the event so successful. But Kelvin was been asked to bite on to a flower & put it at my.....where? you see it???

I managed to change into 'Kua' before the end of the dinner. Finally, the dinner is over & the guest are leaving. My hubby & I can go back to our suite to count $$ & our dinner will be serve too. But the truth is, our friends went to our suite & stay for sometime. After they left, we have our shower & we were both too tired to count the $$.

Many thanks to everyone who have attended our wedding to make the nite so wonderful & unforgetable for both of us. Your presence was very much appreciated. Not forgeting our 'Song Di & Jie Mei' who also help us a lot on the day. Special thanks to both of our parents for bringing up these 2 naughty Kelvin & myself to allow this prefect union. We will continue the rest of our journey with each other company. Love all of you!
